Gearing Up for the New Season

Last week the farms got in their seed and soil orders. With 11 farms growing produce, we use a lot of potting soil just to start the seeds. Like, 25 pallets, 1500 bags, 22,000 pounds worth. One semi trailer full came into the warehouse and now sits ready for the growers to take as they need.

Here is the seed order for our biggest grower, Rippling Brook Farm. Although it doesn't look like a lot, that is tens of thousands of seeds that will yield a tremendous amount of produce if all goes well this season. Soon we'll have greenhouses full of young seedlings, and not long after that it will be time to get into the fields. Can't wait!
